Natural diamond forms deep in the earth's mantle under extreme pressure and temperature. The six-sided top press reproduces that environment inside a sealed synthesis cell — six anvils advance simultaneously on the cube, generating a uniform pressure field of about 5–6 GPa at 1300–1500 °C. High-purity graphite and metal catalyst layers then recrystallise into diamond, with a full growth cycle completing in roughly seven days.天然金刚石形成于地幔深处的高温高压环境。六面顶压机在密闭合成腔体中复现这一条件：六个顶锤沿立方体六个方向同步推进，在腔体内建立约 5–6 GPa、1300–1500 °C 的均匀压力温度场，高纯石墨与金属触媒层在触媒作用下重结晶为金刚石，完整生长周期约 7 天。
